Figuring out God’s plan

In the beginning I had a thought – could I get you to become one?

Become one with your soul.

Become One with me.

So I sent you into the big wide world, as the zohar gives the example of  a King who desires to extract the deepest truth from his son, sent him to become a sailor and on top of that hired a harlot to try to entice the sailor at a port – far from his princely status in the palace would he remain his higher or become a lower self?
