Fashion

Is fashion fashionable?
If it is, why does it change?
In other words, what is fashionable has nothing to do with fashion.
Rather it parallels the following story, which is the sum total of human fashion, style, silly aspirations.
A wagon driver unbeknown to him was carrying a hidden Tzaddik (one of the 36 hidden saints upon whose good deeds etc. the world is merited to exist) they got accosted by bandits and valiantly he fought them off to save his passenger, they received such a fierce fight, they had to flee, but he unfortunately dies of his wounds.
Coming to heaven the heavenly tribunal was indeed in a quandary.
What to do with such a man whose deeds were such, that he gave his life not only for a passenger, but they saved a hidden Tzaddik?!
Of the true delights of heaven, namely inspiration and Divine insight he was neither prepared nor interested in, so they placed in him in a fantasy world where to this very day he drives the fanciest carriage, his costumers are the best a wagon driver can hope for, his horses, why the pride of all wagon drivers, he is the happiest wagon drive that can be!
What is so sad about this true story, is as ironic as it seems, it completely represents our foolish tendencies on earth.
We blindly follow the fad of the times, whether it’s a wagon, a horse, or Mercedes, the inane dress codes that some queer designer came up – the question is, Do you have the courage to break out of this dream/nightmare?!
