expansion (rotzu ahavah sovev chayim) contraction (shuv yirah mimale maves)

life as we know it, is literally beyond human comprehension

for example, how many of us realize – though we know it (realization is knowledge that is felt, not only understood) that from the moment we were born, every single second there is a pump which miraculously pumps the oxygen filled blood through our arteries in order for us to live – how many of us realize, though we do it all the time, that without the oxygen in the air, literally, within a few minutes we wouldn’t exist and that follows a constant intake and exhaling of carbon dioxide

in other words, life is not here or not, it is rather continually here, not here; here, not here

we see this in the very heartbeat of reality, for as kabbalah taught and science discovered, the entire physical universe continual pops in and out of existence, here, not; here, not – rotzu vshuv, like God’s personal heartbeat

if something so central reality is taking place and if every happenstance is both meaningful and contains an invaluable life lesson, certainly something as important as this

the answer is truly so

you see, all of us desire life, which in other words can be defined as the state of being – expansion, imagination, love, desire, feeling fulfilled – in contrast to that, none of us desire the state of non-existence, fear, depression, emptiness, obviously what we consider death

however what none of us can fathom, is, what if the world is neither here, nor not; what if like a computer screen it continuously is refreshed (every second your screen draws the picture on it thousands of times)

and this is the truth Kabbalah teaches behind the cosmic heartbeat

for if we were in either the state of existence or not, we would be stagnant

however if we are in the state of being and not, then rebirth and death, in a continual flow, every rebirth can lead to the complete not only rebirth but update

a good example from this, is the difference in computers versus all other machines

be it a plane, car, truck, rocket etc. all machines cannot be updated – sure you can create another plane which is better, but the original plane would need to be completely either remodeled or discarded

a computer is essentially a place where information exists – hence all you need to do is update the information

the only prerequisite for continual growth is never think you already have it all
