Everything you need to know is contained in the parable of what man is, that God Himself teaches – now remember, this is the One who made us and He made the trees and He said "Man is a tree of the field" and as the Rebbe explains, the tree has three components – it has its roots which is our faith, this grounds us in a reality that is indestructible – it has its trunk, which are our beliefs and values, that form our identity – and it has its fruit, which is the sweet contribution, the seeds of which planted in the person who receives it
