Everything we need to know we can know from the prototypical life journey – as the Baal Shem Tov says, that as the Jews went through 42 stops traveling from Egypt to the promised land, so too each and every one of us has a destiny – firstly we must break out of our personal limitations, the emotional identities, habits, assumptions, peer pressure that confine our spirit (all fear) However once we do come to our Mount Sinai – discover our personal God, (as God said, "I am the God who took you out of Egypt" – never forget you could have remained trapped) then the journey ahead is not to the promised land, rather it has its ups and its downs, all the while we are receiving the Torah (for as you know that Torah was given through the 42 journeys) in other words, we are upgrading, learning life lessons
