Everything must teach us something

What is the lesson we need to extrapolate from reports that a student just committed suicide as he had a sever uncontrolled blushing disease?

The Daily Mail reports:

When Brandon finally worked up the nerve to tell his mother about the condition last fall, he was already in the grip of shame and depression. He called her in tears, she recounted.

‘I was sitting there trying to make sure I chose my words carefully: “OK, Brandon, you know we all blush”,’ she said. ‘And he said, ‘Mom, no, you need to just go look it up.’

She went on: ‘The biggest thing for him and the biggest thing for all the people who suffer with chronic blushing is the shame. People do think of it as trivial because we all blush.’
Perhaps the lesson is that shame is the primary fear of all people and just as we would never God forbid murder someone, we must be equally – in fact more careful to be exceptionally sensitive to never say something that could God forbid induce shame in someone which may actually cause a spiral – as it did in this case (for people would point it out to him) into suicide.
