Everything is actually remarkably simple – number one, people will lie; number two, people will lie for a benefit to themselves; number three, all human reality, primarily is emotional; number four, our emotions are love / fear – fear is the path to the dark side, for if we are in fear (usually of others) we have resentment (to those who caused the fear) we then become jealous of those who are not in fear – hence evil (terrorism, bullying etc etc.)
