You see our greatest problem is in not understanding

 

For once, like a doctor you see, you can proscribe

 

If we don’t understand that each and every person is a composite of actually four – we are existentially messed up

 

Number one we are God; God is compassionate

 

Number two we have an objective mind – this is what makes us unique – no animal is objective – they are not necessarily stupid, only self centered

 

However to the extent that the next two parts of us dominate, our mind is also…

 

For we also have a heart – emotional attraction to what instinctually feels pleasurable or fear / avoidance of anything painful as well as an attraction to pride and fear of shame

 

which leads to the worst, namely our ego
