Every single person is made up of 5 – 6 parts. The parts that we can recognize the most is our mind, which contains ideas as well as gives us truth, rationality. Our heart, which contains emotions, which gives us desires and feelings as well as compassion. And our body, which contains instincts for pleasure and pain, as well as our liver that contains our pride and shame. And our soul, which contains our internal pride and shame or dignity and value system and conscience and spirituality. And last but at least there is also the Yetzer Hara – literally an offshoot of the satan that is a lot smarter than us and it’s there to trip us, and unless we understand that life is a battle between good and evil, and evil and good, between light and darkness, between love and hate, between wisdom and foolishness – between listening to G-d or ignoring G-d, between humility and arrogance. Wisdom and stupidity, between foolishness and courage – between laziness and alertness and a whole bunch more, well…
