Don’t know if I’m right, but I think possibly so

Our sages teach, three time periods there are/were

The first two thousand years of creation are called creation or alternatively chaos

The next two thousand years are called the two thousand years of Torah

And the final two thousand years are the two thousand years of Moshiach

Now there are many meanings behind this, but I think this is perhaps the most relevant one

First God created man, for man to exist he must have an identity, to have an identity, in essence, he must sin – for if he were like an angel primarily defined by it’s realization that he is an offshoot of God, hence sin is impossible, hence these two thousand years are defined by the invention of idolatry which conveniently gives man the ability to a. Do what he pleases and b. to even call Himself a god as kings did.

Then along comes Abraham who says – the world is wrong – there is such a thing as morality based on a God – along comes God and reveals himself to the Jews, who after two thousand years, fully internalize God’s moral system.

But there is a far deeper dimension to God, perhaps unbeknown even to Abraham and that is, that man’s definition of God is incorrect.

For God is not a being like man, that seeks morality; God is the Creator of man, as such he is truly infinite, as such, why did he even create man in the first place?

To understand this, Chassidus comes along and teaches three exceptionally revolutionary ideas:

1. God desires a relationship with man

2. God’s infinity presupposes that there is no ability to not continuously do anything

3. Practically man’s ability hence becomes infinite, for through a union with God, God’s infinity becomes a continual growth spurt for man! Share The WISDOM!
