Don’t hate your wife, she is God educating you! as the Baal Shem Tov teaches on the verse “it is not good for man to be alone hence I will make a helper to oppose him” – what can be so bad if man is alone? – explains the Baal Shem Tov – if he is alone he’s liable to think he is righteous, thus though not all of his wife’s criticism are accurate, some certainly are, hence a wife is God’s mechanism for keeping the male ego in check and hence the rare man whose ego is already in check will only have praise from his wife
