You see what must of us don’t get, is how could, for example, the Germans literally go into other people homes, take them out and shoot them, go into hospitals, take out mental people and shoot them, take two millions gypsies and shoot them and millions more!

In other words, the greatest error we make – an error we make because life would be too unpredictable and by nature we fear the unpredictable hence prefer delusions of predictability – is that people are rational.

There is not a single rational person in this world – as Dr. Robert Aumman, a noble prize winner for the Center of Rationality in Israel, a strong critic of the madness of giving terrorists weapons, land etc. (in Israel) says, the terrorists based on their way of thinking are rational – i.e. if you believe that by killing a Jew you will get to have sex with 72 virgins and your life is pretty crappy anyway, not to mention you will have hero worship, not to mention countries like Sauida Arabia will give your family more money then they have ever seen – so based on that assumption, it is rational.

In other words, all that is rational Robert Aumman says is the ability to follow through on a premise (this of course is the difference between say a retarded person who doesn’t have the ability to follow through on an idea vs. anyone who does, though the idea itself is obviously not rational, for all that drives people are emotions, desires (often for pleasure hence addiction, fame hence money, stardom )

And here we get to the point of this point, there is a desire that few of us acknowledge, least those who have it and it is called jealousy – those who have jealousy feel that they have been maligned, demeaned, their dignity brutally raped (which is probably true) they then become, as this is a natural instinct jealous of all people who still have their dignity intact !– this is so rife that it even happens between parents to children – a good movie that describes this which must be watched is Spiderman 3.
