You see, evil is not a natural state.

Our minds are effectively run by our emotions, hence, we like to see the world in black and white, so we know whom to fear and who to love – its a protective mechanism.

But ultimately, unity is the definition of goodness and even Hitler liked company.

In other words, evil as we have had occasion to note, comes from jealousy, but all human desires have a virus in them – namely, they have the capability of masking themselves like a cancer cell does (to the immune system) as being part of the host – normal function.

They instantaneously suppress counteracting opinions, leaving one completely certain that God-forbid, as the Nazis did, and as radical Muslims wish to, murder innocent, loving kind hearted Jews and Cristan, to not only be OK, but a laudatory act!

So what’s the solution to the desires in a man that have such absolute total control, like cancer cells do, fooling the man himself that dark is light, and black is white.

The truth is, Judaism’s core premise, which is, Naaseh Venishmah, our sole responsibility on earth is to adhere to God’s commandments – only then do we need our minds.
