Distinguishing between what feels good, and what is good!

By zevi770 · May 3, 2013

We immediately associate what feels good with what is good; this is how all animals live, love/pleasure, hate/pain

But of course, we have minds

If I asked you, what is good?

I am sure you would say love, compassion, goodness and kindness

Do they instinctively feel good, yes and no

You see two worlds opposing each other, God created

Instinctively, pleasures and pain, create an additive feeling, but the moment we indulge, the pleasure dissipates, as opposed to goodness and kindness, and what is right and noble; they don’t create addictive feelings, they are perceptions of right and wrong, nobility or wretchedness, good or bad, however after we do them, the afterglow lasts eternally!
