Discovering

Think about it – the world is made to discover

We have obviously, curiosity, which leads us to try to understand

Bu couldn’t we be made like a bird who automatically knows how to build a nest

All animals, in fact, uniquely mature into adults, being able to survive, build homes etc. etc.

Only us humans, spend a lifetime discovering

There must be a colossal reason for this mechanism to have been built into the fabric of society

The answer is simple enough

Unless you discover something, you don’t appreciate it

One of the greatest feats – if not the greatest God made – was, we are born into a world in which many were not educated about God

This led the existence of God himself to be discovered

In fact, this is how God was introduced to our world through the searching and intellectual discovery of Abraham

Yes to discover a truth, is to hold it dear

But there is a liability to this mechanism

For our egos tend to enjoy our pride in our discovery, thinking we are so smart for having discovered this

And once our egos get inflated, our rational objectivity (as well has a host of other factors) gets deflated

For this reason God made another truth – as God is infinite we will continually discover ever more lessons in life from God

So no matter what you have discovered, relative to infinite discovering, you have discovered nothing (though relative to darkness at least you are in the light)
