The Rambam teaches, that as we are all influenced by other people; if people are bad, better to live in a cave then to be around bad people! but taking it to another conclusion; you must know beyond a shadow of doubt, the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, and in every conversation, in every information that reaches your ears or eyes, you must be able to instantaneously decide is this light or darkness!
