Did you know, you and everyone else are exactly like a car – as you know a car has three gears – go, neutral and reverse

 

 

Similarly, we have these three gears (in fact this is what runs all animals) when you don’t fear, you are attracted to your desires – When you fear that is like reverse – you make sure to NOT GO to what you fear. – This is why for example, if children live in security they are attracted to all their instinctual desires, be it candy, playing etc. – but God-forbid if someone begins to fear, then instead of becoming attracted say to people, they live in a state when they are trying TO PREVENT what they fear – So a perfectionist is someone who experienced shame and what they are trying to do is make sure they never get shamed – But the ultimate state ironically is neutral, for when you are not under the compulsion of either fear nor love (attraction) you then have the capacity to make rational choices
