Did God make me miss a loop when I put on my belt today?
I know there is such a thing as TMI (too much information) but us bloggers sometimes need materiel from the weirdest of places.
But think about it, the Baal Shem Tov teaches, all is hashgachah pratis – Divine wisdom – so pray tell what kind of Divine wisdom would cause me to miss a loop and then have to rebelt when putting on my belt.
But there is a deep lesson indeed.
For our natural tendency is to think, as Adin Even Yisroel says, “we look at God like a CEO” certainly his interests are with the upper management and not us on the ground level.
But this is to misunderstand God through that all too human assumption called anthropomorphization – God is like a human.
God is somewhat like and certainly unlink a human.
He is like the human heart, filled with love, compassion, a quest for truth and unity; but that’s where it ends! he is unlike a human, for a human of course is not defined by his infinity but by his limitation.
Born into this world, itself a limited construct (time and space) born into a body itself a limited machine (hands, feet etc.) we fail to perceive, the Creator of these limitations has no limitations!
