In a poignant letter to an Israeli teacher who became the head of the World Teachers Association, the Rebbe remarked – a core passionate belief – that schools are failing our children, inasmuch, they teach the ability to earn a living – and the interpersonal ability children learn by osmosis (through interacting etc.) but the intrapersonal skill, the most necessary skill of understanding, hence being able to control oneself, has become a lost art.
