Now the Alter Rebbe addresses why this person who has complete control over his thinking, speaking and behavioral patterns is nonetheless not  a Tzaddik.

 

For as mentioned, the uniqueness of the Tzaddik is not in his actions rather in his constant uncompromising, unconditional love for God, whereas the Benoini merely is able, to cuase during prayer this love and must exercise self-discipline through the rest of the day to align his thinking, speaking and behavioral patterns to be in accordance to the Divine.
