Chapter 13
We know understand the meaning of our sages statement that both the Yetzer Tov (good desires) and Yetzer Hara (bad desires) judge the Benoinie.
For in the Benoini, the Yetzer Hara states its desire, then the Yezter Tov counteracts it, and with God’s help (for as our sages say, that without the Divine assistance man could never beat his Yetzer Hara) then God acts as the third judge and then as the rule in Jewish courts, the majority opinion overcomes.
