Hi I’m God

I would like to talk to you

Now imagine you heard that

Perhaps you would get overwhelmed

Wow, God wants to talk to me!

Shall he reveal the truth?!

Should I get ready to incorporate a new direction in life!?

But let’s look at how God actually did talk?!

In fact, apart from the Ten Commandments which itself was a lot to digest in one go – though it was in fact a summary of all 613 commandments, as Rabbi Sadia Goan wrote a book describing how each of the 613 commandments are incorporated in one of the ten…

But let’s look at the beginning to the end, of God speaking to people.

Let start with Adam – pretty simple “Here’s a garden, don’t eat from this tree, eat from the rest.”

How about Noah – “Build an ark.”

What about where we see some serious conversation going on, Abraham, first, “Get up and find a new home.”

And again, we don’t see mass revelations, we in fact see a gps.

Step by step instructions.

Of course, the greatest prophet of all time was Mosses, who communicates -as the Torah/Bible teaches “face to face” like two friends talking – yet once again, we find “Hey it’s me, ‘Go to Egypt and set the Jews free.’”

Now you would imagine, an authority figure like God wouldn’t take much debate; but Mosses debates God in this first and all-encompassing point, for an entire week! and God patiently deals with all his issues!

If anything, God’s speech is not overwhelming, it’s underwhelming!

Now the fact is, many people – normal people – tell me, God communicates with them.

This comes in the form of a voice in their mind, which they did not think; a thought in their head, which they did not think; it gives them a specific instruction, and lo and behold, the instruction produces an unexpected – hence miraculous – benefit!

The Rebbe says, that technology was revealed to help us understand God; the gps is the ultimate paradigm, for it shows there can be a being, who sees every step, yet has the wisdom to talk to you in a step by step approach!
