I noticed something fascinating – obviously the holocaust was a sever trauma to any human – but I know of two people who came out of the holocaust untraumatized, I say this based on the emotional energy one feels in listening to stories, reading their feelings; and the first is Victor Frankel, and the second is a woman I know from South Africa, and I believe the reason both suffered no trauma, is because they chose to go, in as both of them had an options to escape – but to be with their parents – as they chose to go, they didn’t suffer trauma!
