Charity privilege or pressure is the title of this article

 

Let’s look at charity through the eyes of mysticism

 

All of us are actually beggars

 

Do we control life?

 

Do we control health?

 

Do we even control our income?

 

Do we control the micro and macro economies that contribute to our ability to eat?

 

The answer of course to all of the above, no!

 

However God in his goodness created the following system

 

When we give charity below he gives us charity

 

So charity as our sages state, “more than the wealthy do for the poor the poor do for the wealthy”

 

Charity is ultimately about reversing the flow from one where we are beggars to wealth

 

By us giving to others God then gives to us and others

 

Charity is the redistribution of wealth, not from rich to poor, rather from God to humanity
