Can it be – can our very perception, conception, imagination be wrong – well, considering that practically everything humans have ever thought, has been absolute idiocy (or to put it less harshly, wrong) it’s quite probable – in other words, you can see something but have no idea what you are seeing; today we understand that in fact everything we see is a composite of cells, atoms; eventually getting to the point where the only thing we can say is, everything is repetitive miracles popping in-and-out of existence; like we are observing a computer screen – but here is the deal, not only is our conception of what we see wrong, our conception of what we conceive is likewise wrong! for we conceive of God in the anthropomorphic comparison of how a human would behave had he great power – but God is not a human, he has no human need for recognition – so then, who is God? why did he create? and what does he want? – God of course i.e. his being is unknowable to us (as the Rebbe Rashab describes it best: an existence which doesn’t exist, which does) but his soul is our soul – remember as a child how you felt unconditional love, identification, compassion; that is his soul! hence out of that unconditional love, compassion, identification, he created us and he desires that we use our guts, our trust, our fearlessness to be ourselves
