Can it be – can it really be, can it be that God’s words to me, to you, certainly to the Rebbe today, have as much validity as the Ten Commandments!?

One of the most subconscious questions we hold, is the immutability of Divinity, which of course we need to ascertain, if it is incorrect; for the ramifications are colossal!
In fact, I had a funny comment, which I didn’t publish, as its overall tone was negative, but the gist was, that, God gave the Bible, and why do you follow the rabbinical laws?
In other words, many Jewish people make a fundamental erroneous mistake in attributing immutability to Divinity: to a specific time (when the Jews where in the desert) to a specific place (Mount Sinai) to a specific Jew (Mosses.)
As Kabbalah teaches, everything that God does, says, teaches, comes in a generalized and specific format.
Hence as we all know, Judaism of the Bible, is inextricably bound with its interpretation: for example, in the Bible, it states to place frontlets between your eyes, and no Jew even knows what frontlets is, never mind the shape what’s inside etc. etc., so perhaps 99% of Judaism, is actually the explanation of these laws; which as God gives everything first in a generalized format, hence the laws are first stated in the broadest strokes, and only then the infinite, following details.
In similar sense, revelation of Judaism itself, comprises two distinct stages; the first of course is the Ten Commandments in which all the commandments are found, as Rabbi Sadia Goan wrote a book showing the relevance of each of the 613 commandments tracing each one back into the ten.
However, the truth is, the Torah itself, forms provision of infinite follow up revelation!
We all know what is states, that whatever a genuine Torah student will innovate, was ALREADY given by God to Mosses, which though we do not see it in the Torah, nonetheless, it was within the general principle of Judaism, and merely elaborated; but, as we know, that Mosses went to heaven, he saw God studying Torah,. and God was studying what Abayah and Rava, two much later (perhaps a thousand years later) sages would be saying! for in fact, the soul contains within a concealed format these people and when they came to earth it was their mission to reveal through strenuous study, debate and exegesis (based on thirteen principles of how the Torah is extrapolated) these principles!
In fact, according to this theory (truth,) what I am writing right now, is also have been given by God to Mosses, and hopefully something that you can write as well! as the Alter Rebbe teaches in Tanya, that all souls, have an opportunity and obligation to innovate based on their soul ability’s innovations in the Torah.
It is for this reason, the words of God that flow through the Rebbe’s voice or pen, are no different – perhaps as our sages teach, that the words coming from the Rabbis are even more precious – than the words in Torah! – if nothing else, they are the syntheses of the Torah’s ideals, as they relate to you and I today!
