By far, the hardest challenge that challenges us, is the conundrum, that the more good you do and rightfully so, being proud of yourself for doing it, the more the demon called ego fills you with delusions of grandeur which is why the sole solution is to simply do what God tells you, for in submitting your ego to God’s instructions, you both do good, but as it’s done in servitude not in conscious choice (in other words, you are not the decision maker of what to do) hence the ego cannot become fattened from the good you do
