But the truth is, if you never have contraction, if you never have a moment in which you are being humble to the light above, allowing the light to come into you, then you have no light to expand out. So it’s not so much about just being something and then growing that thing — its about being able to contract and expand and as the Rebbe says it in the most beautiful way, you know, to G-d, you should always be in a state of humility and to others, you should be in a state of giving.
