Born Free

I’ll never forget the interview; a guy from the north, when there was slavery in the south, a reporter, came to interview a slave (actually it may have been after slavery, but I think during) with good liberal bleeding heart he said to him, “don’t worry, we’ll free you!” and the slave said perhaps the greatest line I ever heard, “you don’t understand,” he said to the reporter, “I was born free!!” Sent via my BlackBerry from Vodacom – let your email find you!
