Better than your best

By zevi770 · October 7, 2013

Chassidus teaches, there is, your best, and infinitely better than your best!

Your best is limited.

For no human is infinite.

So better than your best, would be, to be God!

But how can a human be God?

Well, angels have two names – their regular name, Michoel, Gavriel etc. and then when they are doing something on God’s specific instructions, they are not even called by their name, they are called God!

In other words, as we say in Shemah, you should serve God in the best way (“with all your might”) but this is, of course, the best of a limited human!

However, if you serve God by simply listening to what he says – which you access through listening to your Mashpia (Chassidic spiritual mentor, whom you appoint as such) or any other way God communicates to man – well, then, you’re better than your best!!
