As we look back (currently I am reading a few thousand years of Jewish history as it is interwoven with the various empires etc. of other nations) a single truth becomes so savagely apparent, that it has haunted all men, and it haunts you and I – we are all slaves of our ego – sure, under the humility of circumstances I may be sweet, but given true unbridled unlimited power, how long would it take for me to become impetuous? to expect? to punish?! – unless we savage our savage – which can only be done by a thoroughly humiliation of self (for the ego is that which encourages arrogance, from false credit, pride etc.) we actually are a savage (though perhaps in potentia)
