As (see last blog) we are composites (of ego desires (with its corollary, God-forbid, anger, hate, jealousy, maliciousness, viciousness etc.) heart desires for chemically induced pleasure or fear of pain (hence addictiveness, as well as anxiety) but also, we contain a rational mind, hence the ability to discern truth) the question then is, how does the mind gain control? and the only way, is, to a. eliminate ego through self-repulsion (think of all the stupid and evil things you have done) then control and direct the heart’s desires (for many of them are not only necessary but are good, it’s just, like a baby, they have no internal ability to be in control)
