As hard as it is to write this, harder still to not – the forces of good and evil are not random forces, they are active powerful, almost all-powerful conscious beings! – quite simply: God versus the satan (though of course God made the satan, so we should overpower it) so unless we submit to God, which doesn’t mean being wise, doesn’t even mean being kind: means giving over our very will to God, our chances of spiritual survival are actually zero
