As everything is created to teach us, let us look at Kabbalah and human history to learn!

Kabbalah teaches, three motives there are: – rationality – instincts for pleasure and fear of the reverse – and ego: arrogance, dominance, stepping on others!

Now as they say, “there is nothing new under the sun” – so human history is mirrored in our current history/ experience, so, clarifies everything!

Let’s begin with human history; who lived lives of rationality, divorced from instincts and ego? Basically Judaism, and though people may imagine other large faiths, like Islam and cristanity did, but when we see their holy wars which is based on the desire for dominance, we realize they were not rational, but egotistical players!

Closer to home, the enlightenment, secularism was also ego based, as we see what the communist did for their theories, and what liberals did, disregarding anyone and cruelly stamping their theories on society!

Now speed up to our generation, the tremendous self-repulsion of two world wars, in close succession; created a new anti-war, anti-dominace feeling, hence, Americans themselves forced their government to stop the Vietnam war; the hippies truly introduced – though somewhat misguided – love and peace!
