Arrogance is delusional; but just as many people delusionally buy lotto tickets, for their desire to be wealthy creates the delusional hope that they can win the lotto (while in contrast, knowing that smoking can kill someone, often doesn’t get them to change their habit – whereas studies show, if you tell men that it will affect their libidinal performance later in life, they are more receptive – as desires change a person’s mind) similarly, it is the fact, that we have a desire to be great, that allows for the delusions of greatness to be believed by ourselves, about ourselves.
