Another way of understanding Kabbalah’s teaching of the three operating systems that can and do run us: mind, heart, liver, is as follows

 

 

Mind is entering into truth, the truth is, that we humans are not capable of truth- for our other operating systems are instinctual, hence override rational thought, which is why we humans, as Einstein said: two thinks are infinite, the universe, and human stupidity and I have my doubts about the former – would any rational thinking person kill themselves through drugs? would they kill others? as the Nazis did? – as Einstein replied when asked how the holocaust could happen, “sometimes people don’t think!” as David, a survivor, who made a study of genocide concluded, people who participate in genocides are simply following like sheep the rest of their society – do we not all follow like sheep – look at the dress codes of society, how everyone mimics their society, language, mindset; effectively our desire to not be different, will override our rational mind.

 

The next is our instinctual soul.

 

And the last, is the worst feature in humanity, our ego, our delusional sense of grandeur, hence our anger when offended and our jealousy when we feel lowered.
