An amazing story I just read

Once an antisemite told Rava (a great Jewish scholar) “you are an impetuous nation; Who in their right mind would say to God ‘we will do all you tell us, and only after comprehend the logic?!’”
Replied Rava to him, on the contrary, we Jews trust God instinctively, as a child trusts their parents; hence knowing God’s love, we know his requests will both be within our capabilities to fulfill, as well as in our interest.
However, you trust no-one – for as you continuously scheme deviously against others – you subconsciously think others are likewise deviously scheming against you (for people assume that others feel about them, as they feel about others.)
