Life as it’s intended, is for us to imbue our every action, be it eating, sleeping, working, with the benefit this contributes to humanity! Eating and sleeping, having the ability to give! Working, having the ability to give!
Ironically, even – or perhaps, especially so – Torah and Mitzvos also need the proper intent (for without it, the ego enters, and then it poisons, instead of inspires the person) the intent of course is, to listen to God! which doing things against our instincts, refines us!
