All human emotions hence thoughts speech action, hence behavior, interactions, are based in five fundamental GPSs

Love – love is the desire for

When I love you, I am attracted to you

Essentially as Chassidus (Jewish mysticism teaches) love is an attraction

Now there may be healthy/unhealthy loves

Can you name five healthy/unhealthy?

The next is the exact opposite, fear

As love is an attraction, fear is the desire to not encounter some stimuli

Hence fear is a retraction from, or a defense (fight or flight – it is actually flight – if it is fight, it is only like an animal fighting to survive)

Now both these emotions cause us to be non-objective, as the saying “love is blind” and when people, as we see in ptsd, the primary mission of the body is not get hurt (again)

in fact, logic itself is like a computer – it can be used for any reasoning – when in love it is used to see what is beautiful so you can attain; when in fear it shows you what is dangerous, so you can refrain

But there is, when not in love nor in fear – in other words, when you have a state of security without any strong emotional attraction as children often have (for once hormones enter as psychologists say, men think with honesty – I don’t know if this is true but it probably is – only for a few seconds after seminal discharge) so think back to your childhood when (hopefully) you were safe (hence didn’t have morbid thoughts) and when you were pre-hormones, hence (not obsessed – even subconsciously with sex) do you recall objective reasoning?

Ultimately G-d, nobility, goodness, compassion, is within our mind (as our Divine soul resides there) hence through a complex interplay between arrogance / humility – realizing the futility of pleasures, often somewhat abetted by loss, our minds begin to ascend – life ultimately is a series – infinite – of discoveries

These discoveries fulfil the reason we exist, namely that G-d desires that within our own consciousness we should develop
