A truth in which all others are contained

Like the biggest Russian dolls which houses all the little ones, the following amazing teaching from the Rebbe is the truth, in which every other truth is contained.

Here goes, God is infinite, we are finite, God desires to merge his infinity in our finity.

Now logically, that would be like merging light and darkness, wouldn’t the darkness dissipate when the light comes?

Well it depends.

Because there are two kinds of light, there is regular light which does annihilate darkness, but there is another light, a highly exact specific ray, called a laser beam.

Similarly, first God created man and then let him know about light / God but then comes the messianic redemption in which God takes a concentrated bit, capable of human comprehension, and like the study of chassidus, this bit containing God’s essential infinity has the capacity to transform man out of darkness into light, but that’s not all, because as God is infinite, he continuously teaches us, elevates us ad-infinitum!!
