Man is born like a wild cow – the baby cow needs to suckle, but really has no larger aspirations than pleasure and no pain!
Our goal is, through our lifetime, to educate ourselves not to be finer cows, because an adult cow is also like a baby cow, he has no aspirations besides pleasure and no pain!
In fact, the analogy between us and cows is truly similar, for if we don’t grow out of this pleasure / pain paradigm, we become no different from say a. Interested only in pleasure and no pain including intercourse, and amazingly, just as humans get addicted to drugs because that is their interest, so do cows, just as humans can ignore everything once on drugs so do cows!!!
Obviously our lives cannot be significant unless we gain control over the cow side of us!!!
To do this we humans have two other souls that cows don’t have 1. An intellectual soul, so unlike a cow that only thinks of pleasure and not encountering pain, we can also think, explore, try to figure out the meaning behind life and additionally we have 2. A Godly soul where our altruism, love, self-sacrifice for higher ideals comes from!
In addition to these two souls (three if we include the animal soul – our first reality) is on one side, God standing, ever ready to help us, if we CHOOSE to be good, noble, considerate, compassionate! and a demon, Yetzer Hara – little devil within – that is tirelessly always trying to make our cow side the dominant reality!
In other words, life is a sever challenge between listening exclusively to our cow or listening exclusively to our mind and soul! Sent via my BlackBerry from Vodacom – let your email find you!
