A simple theory that solves all the puzzles

Similar to what Einstein said, when asked to explain the theory of relativity, which is / was perhaps one of, if not the greatest scientific discovery; so he said “When you are sitting on a hot stove, a minute feels like an hour; and if you have a conversation with a charming woman, an hour feels like a minute.”

I don’t know if he himself was aware, of how profoundly accurate this statement was

For in this statement, the Kabbalah’s wisdom, that there is no higher human aspiration than pleasure and nothing feared worse than pain, seeps.

In other words, what dominates humanity, quite simply is the desire for pleasure and the fear of pain.

Now when societies are safe, than there is no fear; when societies are insecure, of course there is fear.

Now the mind is produced by the emotions (though of course our mind, is independent of our emotions, but when there is fear, it literally switches off our mind, and all we can think about, is how not to receive the pain/shame again.)
