A Reply To A Cristian Website I Saw Through A Media Link

 

Hi I am a Rabbi and though I don’t want to interfere with anyone’s faith, I wasn’t going to comment – but because Super Jew had a nasty comment, also “in the name of Jews” – I will share my humble opinion which is good for all.

The book of Daniel clearly foretells our time with incredible accuracy – I don’t know if it is in other commentaries but in Jewish commentaries – God showed Nevuchadnetzer a prophecy which briefly was a statue with a head of gold, arms of silver, a torso of brass, legs of iron, and some of the toes were iron and others were clay or hardened dirt – then a rock came, smashed the statue to smithereens, its dusty remains blew away and the rock turned into a mountain.

The meaning of this is as follows – God was showing the king the future according to Daniel. His kingdom was gold, silver was the Persian (who conquered him,) then came the Greeks, then came our current era – beginning app 2000 years ago – Rome, the descendents of Eisav who went to Har Sier Italy.

In terms of the Jewish people, this was like Iron – for unlike the previous metals that gave leeway, iron was vicious and the Jews suffered intolerable persecution.

At the very end of times – before the coming of the messiah (no offence – our belief) will be the Arab oppression, however unlike iron when you kick them (as we have seen  empirically, they crumble, like when one stands on hardened dirt.)

The stone represents the messiah who comes to admonish humanity, for all four previous world powers are actually built on the same principle – which as an American I must say I am ashamed of – namely, it is the human ego’s desire for power and wealthy prestige and honor.

Hence in reply to the idea if America is or is not mentioned – on one hand everything is predicated on God’s plan, in Judaism we call the bible the blueprint of the world’s destiny, so in a hidden level it must be there, but on a revealed level it is not; for America falls under the category of Rome – though of course America is a country that has and will continue to be of benefit to the Jewish people – in general, a model country (considering human history which is an important thing to consider if we desire an accurate analogy to reality, as opposed to a fantasy of reality;) hence America too shall learn the way of the messiah, namely that power, prestige, are actually vices, and it is the funding of Israel, of her own poor, and the educating of her children to be faithful servants to a higher cause, of goodness and kindness as God desires, that is all that matters.
