A man who was bitter from the trials and travail of life, wrote to the Rebbe and one of the most profound spiritual messages was explained to him – “life is not a box” explained the Rebbe, “rather it is like zig-zags!” – if you look at the heartbeats from an ekg it is waves, or zig-zags – pulses of ongoing ying and yangs of energy – “God” – claims – and he certainly was in the position to make such claims – “wants each and every person to have the beauty, happiness, joy, pleasure (ad-ifinitum adjectives) of a loving home and hearth,” however for man to be happy (not an ingrate) often much trauma must travail, many actually delusionary upsets (for in fact they are not the result of realistic evil, rather fantasies unfulfilled – the essence of a mens mid-life crises etc. etc.) and hence it is in everyone’s greatest interest (God’s out of love and ours out of self-love) to understand this!
