A Guide To Your Heart

By zevi770 · January 2, 2015

Hi I am A Heart

Let me tell you about myself

As opposed to a mind which thinks, I feel!

There are many things I feel

I feel love when I desire something or feel desired

I feel fear when I am afraid of something or from someone

There are many other things I feel, like anger over being demeaned (this comes from my ego, as animals will fight for survival but don’t associate honor with an emotion – this is why there are bad people in the world, for all of them in some way have an anger issue or jealousy, which is anger over not getting what another has, which your ego believes you are entitled to.) There is also the desire to succeed (also relating to the ego) however all my feelings are really a balance between my loves/desires and my fears.

O.K. the question everyone wants to know, what would be a good way to feel?!

Is fear healthy? Is love healthy?

We all know it feels good to love and bad to fear.

But if I desire the pleasure of drugs, is that a healthy or unhealthy love?

If I fear say, not paying taxes, is that a healthy or unhealthy fear?

So in truth, the motto of the Baal Shem Tov sums up exactly what is healthy and unhealthy fear, healthy and unhealthy love:

If you get it, you will have a healthy heart!

“Fear no-one or anything but to not fulfill God’s wisdom for you (this can be discerned through Jewish laws – alternatively asking a Rabbi/Mashpia –alternatively even asking God-himself and the first thought that enters your mind after you ask, is His reply.)

And Love Your Fellow Man With All The Fire of Your Heart and Soul!” – which means, that just as you love yourself unconditionally, in other words, you never believe you are undeserving of love because you made a mistake, similarly, everyone else.
