The Rebbe said – our schools (referring to the public school secular education) teach children skills, reading, writing, math, biology etc – in a social setting, people also learn social cues, but the one thing it has dismally failed, is the intra-personal skill.
You may not even know what that word means.
Intra is similar to inter – inter, is about how people interact; while intra, is how we interact within ourselves.
It takes no genius, though every genius, every philosophy, research, attests to this – we are inherently (within) different desires.
Today I can be feeling happy, tomorrow sad; today loving, tomorrow angry; in fact, this all may happen to me within the same day.
The great fallacy of modern society, is Freud, who introduced the psychological movement – Freud was a doctor, so instead of realizing, that our thoughts introduce different feelings (so by changing our thoughts, we can change our feelings) he looks at the human as healthy or sick.
