1. Every month has something that it shares in common with the others, and every month has something that it is unique in.
2. The word for month comes from the Hebrew word Chodesh, which also has in it Chiddush/new
– in other words, the idea of the new month, which is the sliver of the Moon beginning, is that we renew our dedication to God – in fact we renew ourselves, and this creates a renewal in the world, and in absolute truth – because the soul of Moshiach is within each of us, on the birth of the month, the soul of Moshiach within us, is manifest.
3. Especially the month of Kislev with revelation – firstly the great miracle of Chanukah, the dedication of the Temple, which is mainly to be the dedication of the third Temple, also as Chassidic holidays, the 19th of Kislev, the day that the Alter Rebbe, was freed from prison and the Rosh Hashana of Chassidus, as well as the birth and the passing of the Mitteleh Rebbe.
4. The birth of the Moon represents the purity of the child, who is so pure that they are innocent, and their belief in God, is absolute.
5. The beauty of the belief for the child, is whereas the adult may understand God’s greatness, and may even be willing to give his life for it, to the child, the obviousness of God being the sole existence, and therefore must be adhered to, is his reality.
6. In the language of a Chassidus, an adult is mainly attracted to God based on Revelations of Godliness, but the child’s attraction is essential and core.
7. Even before we say Modeh Ani, the first thing that exists, is our core essential existence – which has a core and essential humility and gratitude to God, and this is the foundation of all of our existence.
8. The birth of the Moon, obviously continues with its light shining, and this is a very extraordinary, really profound meaning, for first we must accept that we are Divine and then we must have that innate Divinity shine into our thoughts, speech and action – what we care about and what we do, and the month of Kislev, most among all the months, highlights this.
9. This is the true idea of Moshiach, namely that we realize that our essence is God, and that we allow this essence to shine.
10. As everything that happens when Moshiach comes, depends on what we do now, therefore we must understand that we are not only a revelation of God, but our soul is God.
11. The idea is that every moment of our life automatically is a moment toward’s Moshiach.
12. The bottom line is that we have to bring Moshiach by realizing that our soul is God and living this way.
13. May it be God’s will that Moshiach comes this Rosh Chodesh Kislev, where it will be the revelation of Moshiach Himself, who will affect the entire universe!
