The Baal Shem Tov gives an amazing example – a man approaches a lake – his shadow 🕴️ is very large – as he is standing right next to the water – his shadow is his height 🕴️- as he bends down, the shadow gets smaller – finally as he places his face perpendicular to the water 🪞 the shadow is literally the same size as his head. This teaches us, that if we approach another but our ego is large then their ego becomes big too – if our ego is humble then theirs too – and the same applies in our relationship with G-d.
