we are taught in Jewish mysticism that God gave us parents – the idea of the parents is too have a paradigm that we can understand for a paradigm that we can’t understand – and therefore just as parents driven by an unconditional love – for their knowledge that the child is theirs, and the pride that they seek from the child’s own success, is the driving motive behind everything – therefore they give them both free-choice as well as they very gently hint to them… and a wise child both loves to hear the hints, and runs to implement them
