One of the unique contributions of the Previous Rebbe, whose Yortzeit, is on the 10th of Shvat, was his dedication to influence not only men, but also Jewish women and daughters, regarding Judaism, Torah and Mitzvahs, and especially Chassidus.
Furthermore, this was done with the recognition and explanation that each one of them, is the foundation of her home, with the ability to influence her husband and her sons and of-course everyone.
The source for this, is explained in his famous talk to women – is how we find, that God prefaced women to men, regarding major events in the Jewish history:
Firstly, God first told the Torah to the women, and secondly, they excelled in the donations of the Mishkan.
Not only did they preface timewise, but most importantly qualitatively; as the women did not give their contributions to the golden calf, as well as that they sowed the very exquisite tapestries of the Mishkan, due to their great love.
Furthermore, and currently this is the main thing, is their unique contribution to the Redemption:
Our sages teach, that it was in the Merit of the righteous women that our forefathers left Egypt, and it will be the merit of the righteous women, that we will leave our current Exile; and as according to Kabbalah, We Are The Reincarnation of that generation, hence, it is actually the very same women!
As we are the last generation of Exile and the one to be redeemed, therefore the Previous Rebbe put such great emphasis in encouraging women, for it is their Mitzvahs, that will bring Moshiach!
Furthermore, it’s not just that the women will bring the Redemption, but intrinsically are the essence of redemption.
The above is also connected to Yud Shvat, the Previous Rebbe’s passing.
The Mammer – Basi Ligani – that the Previous Rebbe gave out, on Yud Shvat was in memory of his grandmother, Rebbetzin Rifka; and the continuation of the Mammer for the 13th of Shvat, was the Yor Tzeit of his mother Rebbetzin Sterna.
Furthermore, the content of the Mammer, which is the idea of Dirah Bitachtoinim, is most apropos to women; for in them is the ultimate Dirah, as we know, the forefathers, could only manifest their Divinity through the groundedness, of the mothers – coming in fact from a higher spiritual source.
Just to also mention, that the Medrash teaches, that just like roses were made for the Shabbos table, so too the holy Tzaddikim, when they complete their work in this world, are plucked; but it’s only only for their ultimate purpose, which is within the Resurrection, to demonstrate the complete Dirah Bitachtoinim.
We can connect this also with the Parsha of this week, especially as the Previous Rebbe’s passing was in Parshas Boi.
The content of Pasha Boi, as Kabbalah teaches – that God took Moshe into the Inner Essence, and spiritual source of Pharaoh, which is the source of where all light emanates from!
This is the hint to the passing of a Tzaddik, our Moshe Rabeinu, as this becomes a source of all light.
This is connected to the Mitzvah of women to light Shabbos candles, which is a Source mitzvah, as we know that the 248 positive Mitzvahs with the two hands, referring to the two sources to do them, namely the love and fear of God, is the Gematria, numerical equivalent of Neir / candle.
The greatness of Jewish Women also relates to the Parshas Bishalach, as many times the Yor Tzeit, is in Parshas Bishalach.
Parshas Bishalach teaches about the song at the sea, in which the women exemplified themselves – actually taking out tambourines, to dance with them – as they were so certain of redemption.
It states, that when Miriam was born the Redeemer was born; in fact she was the one who prophesized that Moshe Rabeinu would be born; her name Miriam actually means Mar / which means bitter; for the Jewish women acutely feel due to their innate spirituality and sensitivity the darkness of the Exile, which is why the rejoicing at the Redemption is manifold.
Furthermore, the Haftorah is specifically about a woman’s song, the song of Devorah.
In the song of the Devorah, it is hinted to, the specific Mitzvahs that women do, which in that merit Moshiach will come:
1. It speaks about how Devorah would make wicks for the Mishkan and simalerly, every Jewish woman lights up her home, her environment, through the Shabbos candles.
2. Furthermore it speaks how Devorah would teach under a palm tree, as its branches are so high, hence there was no question of Yichud, which refers to a woman’s duty to be modest, and “The glory of a princess, is Within.” It’s upon this Foundation, that the entire house of Israel stands.
This leads to, as the verse concludes, “the land of Israel had peace for 40 years.”
All of this adds emphasis and encouragement, to the fundamental mission of the Jewish women to follow in the examples of the great mothers, prophetess, and the Rebbetzins.
A specific practical lesson that we take out, is that just as the righteous women in the times of the Exudos from Egypt were certain that they would be redeemed, so too, in these last moments of Exile, women dance with tambourines, on the immediate arrival of Moshiach.
Together with the joy of Moshiach’s immediate arrival, is like Miriam, the sorrow, and the cry “Ad Masai – how much longer can we possibly wait?!” though the main emphasis is the joy, that Moshiach not only is coming, but in certain senses, has already come!
The main thing is, Moshiach should come, and the 10th Universal Song With No End, The Song of Moshiach Will Be Sung🎶
